Bottom: This Saturday morning seminar was lead by ESA members Meg, Regis & Annie.

The ESA partnered with the Upper Great Lakes Educational Technologies, Inc. (UGLETI)  in order to help teach basic economic and entrepreneurial skills to a small class of technology students.

In this 4 hour discussion style seminar we cover a wide spectrum of Micro & Macro Economics topics

By the end of the day students gained basic knowledge  of:

Voluntary Trade
Supply & Demand
Market Equilibrium
Circular Flow Diagram
The 6 Core Econ Principles

To illustrate the concept of a Command Economy, Dr Ferrarini played the part of a communist dictator by holding the pizza hostage. Eventually democracy prevailed and we all were able to enjoy a delicious lunch.
The students finished out their day with a few lessons in business lead by Junior Business major, Econ minor Regis. He taught the perspective entrepreneurs the basics of market research and  the steps required to formulate a business plan.
